Sarah Goss is a double international Black Ferns player and Black Ferns Sevens World series winning captain. She also won the 2017 Association of National Olympic Committe's Oceania Female Athletes of the Year.

Blackcap Ross Taylor ended 2017 with the best test average in the world (based on any batsman in the world who had played more than two Tests).
Tom Walsh (Athletics )

Shot Putter Tom Walsh won gold in the Men's Shot Put at the 2017 IAAF World Track and Field Championships - the first New Zealand male to ever win an IAAF Track and Field Championship.

Women's K2 - Lisa Carrington & Caitlin Ryan (Canoe Racing )

At the 2017 International Canoe Federation World Championships, Lisa Carrington and Caitlin Ryan teamed up to win the Women's K2 500m race.

Gary Hay (Rowing )

Gary Hay is the Women's Head Coach for Rowing New Zealand. Under his coaching the NZ Women's Coxless Pair set a new world record time at World Cup 2 and also won gold at both World Cup 2 and World Cup 3, the Henley Royal Regatta and the World Rowing Championships. Jackie Kiddle won the women's lightweight single at World Cup 2, then teamed up with Zoe McBride to win gold at the Women's Lightweight Double at World Cup 3, and won silver at the World Rowing Championships.

Glenn Moore helped to lead the Black Ferns to the Women's Rugby World Cup title.
Gordon Walker (Canoe Racing )

At the 2017 ICF World Kayak Championships Gordon Walker coached four boats achieving two gold, one silver and one bronze medal.
